Handling the battery

Follow these battery charging procedures before using the AKTIVO Scoot for the first time.

  • Turn off the AKTIVO Scoot and disconnect it from the charger when not in use.
  • Choose a cool environment for storing the scooter and its charger.
  • Recharge the batteries in a well ventilated area.
  • Do not recharge the batteries in an area that might allow the scooter or its charging components to become wet.
  • Do not leave the scooter charging unattended.
  • Use the standard charger or upgraded charger supplied with this product.
  • Using other chargers may cause product malfunctions.
  • Keep children under 15 years old away from the scooter.
  • When charging, do not keep the battery on charge once it has fully charged.
  • Stop using the product or charging it if any wire is worn or damaged.
  • Do not modify the electrical controls or wiring.
  • Only use the components, battery, and charging units supplied or approved by AKTIVO.
  • Do not use the AKTIVO's battery to power any other equipment.
  • Charging, discharging, or storing the scooter at temperatures outside the range of 32-104 degrees Fahrenheit (0-40 degrees Celsius) might affect the performance of the battery.
  • Avoid long exposures in the sun.
  • Charge the product in safe and clean places away from flammable materials.
  • Avoid short-circuiting the battery.
  • If there is any leakage or smell from the battery, stop using it immediately and contact technical support or customer service.
  • If the scooter is wet, make sure to dry it well before charging.
  • Do not alter the battery and installation as it may cause fire.
  • If the battery performance is reduced to 50% or less make sure to replace the battery to get full advantage and performance of your scooter.
  • Leaving the battery uncharged for long periods of time will affect the performance of the scooter.
  • Do not repair the battery yourself. In the case of a battery malfunction, replace it.


  • The AKTIVO Scoot is designed for riders of age 15 years or older.
  • The scooter is designed for riders with a body weight under 265 lbs or 120 kg.
  • The AKTIVO Scoot is not designed for tandem use nor for cargo transportation.

When riding in public areas

  • Abide by the laws and regulations in your state or country.
  • Respect other drivers and pedestrians on the road.
  • Beware that wet, frozen, oily, or unpaved surfaces are unsuitable for riding and rider safety.
  • Beware that braking distances vary according to surface texture, humidity, temperature, and other terrain conditions.
  • Avoid riding on busy roads and crowded areas.
  • Adjust your speed when riding on the sidewalk.
  • Adjust your riding style and use the LED lights when riding at night or in conditions with low visibility.
  • Maintain control of yourself and your equipment.
  • Always wear a helmet and other safety protection when riding.
  • Do not ride when intoxicated.
  • Avoid riding over gutters, potholes, or off-road as this might damage the scooter.
  • Avoid exposing the scooter to water and wet conditions.
  • Do not ride through puddles or when it is raining.
  • Wearing gloves or an unusual grip might interfere with your ability to accurately use the controls.
  • Perform frequent maintenance checks before riding.
  • Do not use your cell phone, tablet, or other electronic devices while riding.

General maintenance

  • Regular cleaning and maintenance of your scooter will extend its life.
  • If the electric scooter surface is dirty, wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Always check the status of your tires.
  • DO NOT use alcohol-based or harsh cleaners to clean this product.
